Every forty seconds another child is Diagnosed with diabetes. When you’re a little kid it’s a very difficult disease to understand. Finding a cure for diabetes is so important. On behalf of thousands of children with diabetes and their families The Samantha Gooley Foundation was formed. For the sake of kids like Sam, waiting to be freed from a life sentence of diabetes, wont you please help. Sam and others like her are fighting diabetes for their lives and we wont give up till there is a CURE.
Our purpose for the foundation is to provide financial and material assistance to less fortunate juveniles with diabetes ( i.e. - insulin pumps, testers, etc.) |

You wouldn’t know it to look at Sam, she looks like any other child. She goes to school, dances, plays soccer and other “normal” kid things. But appearances can be deceiving. Sam has a disease called type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes). Sam was 5 years old when diagnosed, with this life sentence. Diabetes killed life as I knew it for Sam. Diabetes will shorten life expectancy by 10-15 years. Sam can never take a break from it. It affects every organ in her body and forces her to wear and insulin pump or get insulin injections everyday just to stay alive. I know now diabetes can happen to anyone. It strikes innocent children and their families.
